loro restaurant in moscow

Loro restaurant was originally opened in the winter of 2019 and became famous for its fresh Moscow take on Italian classics.

From the outside, the restaurant's façade has an elegant beige color with large Art Nouveau-style wooden frames and a porch.

Inside, the entrance starts with a curtained wardrobe-hanger, a bar area and an open kitchen with a counter. The casual interior design features red brick walls, parquet floor and comfortable furniture. All tables are covered with white tablecloths.

The cuisine at Loro is supervised by the brand chef Glen Ballis who was born in Australia and spent many years in Southeast Asia. He opened three restaurants in Singapore (Moosehead Kitchen-Bar, Maggie Joan’s, Gemmills) and after that spent a couple of years in London.

Today he lives in Moscow where he manages cuisines at a number of well known restaurants including Loro.

The menu consists of just one sheet and six sections that reflect a modern approach to Italian classics. There is a raw section that has oysters, sea urchins, several kinds of carpaccio and tartare.

The steaks section includes florentine steak also known as Bistecca alla Fiorentina as well as a more traditional Rib Eye. The pasta section has Tagliatelle, meatballs and tomatoes, Porcini risotto with truffle and other interesting options.

The desert menu has all Italian classics like Tiramisu, Pistachio ice cream and Crème Brûlée.

Loro gets packed in the evenings especially during weekends, so make sure to book your table in advance.
