There is a social movement in Russia called Stop Ham supported by the Kremlin that is targeted at taking public action to fight various negative and illegal activities on the roads of Russia. These activities typically include driving and parking on the sidewalks, jamming traffic by parking in the non-designated areas and so on. The main fighting weapon of these guys is a windshield sticker that they put on the impudent driver’s cars. The Russian word “Ham” can be translated into English as “Rude”…. So the movement’s main objective is to fight rude drivers.
In many cases their actions result in extremely aggressive behavior from the Russian drivers.
Moscow Soho Night Club Madness
In this video a number of “Stop Ham” activists are working at night in front of the luxury night clubs in Moscow called Soho Rooms. Their target is to clear the adjacent street from congested traffic created by the limousines of arriving club guests. Watch the outraged drivers and security guards running out of their limos as the activists attempt to put their stickers on the car’s windshields. The video is in Russian but emotions don’t need translation:))
A civilized way of dealing with that kind of problems would be to simply call Police….. But it just probably wouldn’t work in this case….
