Soho Rooms Moscow has always been one of the fanciest clubs on the Moscow nightlife scene. Opened in 2007 the club quickly became one of the main attraction points of the city’s rich and beautiful. Lots of hot ladies like Olya Abramovich and Viki Odintcova pack this place every weekend night! Soho Rooms Moscow is co-owned by the former investment bankers Dan Rappaport and Dominic Gualtieri with the support of the Moscow restaurateur Dmitry Braude. High investments transform into high quality, and Soho Rooms really proves this point.
The club has 4 rooms that include Bar Room, Dining Room, Disco Room and Pool Terrace. The interior design of Soho Rooms represents excessive luxury typical for this type of venues in Moscow.
Soho Rooms Moscow: 4 Rooms of Luxury
Guests entering the Bar Room will see a large chandelier covered with Swarovski crystals hanging from the tall ceiling. Tick floors combined with brick walls, large windows and fretwork on the walls make the interior of Soho Rooms Moscow look very stylish.
By the way, wide windowsills are used as a dancing space for the barely dressed models during the parties taking place on weekend nights.
The Disco Room is actually a dance floor surrounded by the VIP lounge areas with private booths. Getting a table at one of these booths is the best option if you arrive to the club in a group of several guests.
Going one level up will bring you to the Dining Room that has two levels. That’s actually the restaurant area of Soho Rooms Moscow that has a mixed cuisine with dishes ranging from a more traditional steamed sea bass with ginger to a more exotic Xiao Long Bao Dim Sums with lamb.
When the things start heating up at the parties during summer time Pool Terrace becomes the best option. Located on top of the building it features a large summer verandah overlooking the pool. During week days Pool Terrace functions as a restaurant with wicker chairs and sofas where you can relax enjoying the panoramic views. A good thing about Pool Terrace is that it’s equipped with a dome that protects it from the rain.
Co-Owner of Soho Rooms Moscow Beaten for the Strict Face Control
According to Mr. Braude, Soho Rooms Moscow is positioned as an upscale club targeted at successful businessmen and beautiful women. Entrance to the club is regulated by a strict face control and guest lists. And when we say that the face control is strict we really mean it. In fact it’s so strict that Mr. Braude was once taken to the hospital after being attacked by several armed men.
Presumably the attack has been planned by a Russian businessman who was turned away at the club’s doors. The incident happened when Mr. Braude was returning home in the back seat of his Mercedes on one of the central streets of Moscow. Another car moving in the same direction initiated a minor car accident presumably to make the Mercedes passengers walk out. After the cars pulled over several shots have been fired towards the driver without hitting him. Mr. Braude was pushed out of his car and beaten. Multiple injuries have been confirmed at the hospital that included concussion and broken nose.
Mr. Braude claimed that he knew the person behind these attacks but preferred not to disclose the name to the public. According to his statement that person has been banned from the club after several incidents provoked by him. As far as we know, no changes have been made to the door policy at Soho Rooms Moscow after that incident.
