GUM is one of the oldest department stores in Russia located in the historical part of the Moscow city. This central part of the city includes many museums and places of interest such as Kremlin, St. Basil’s Cathedral, Armoury Museum and of course the Red Square. A lot of tourists from all over the world visit them every year.
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, GUM was sold by the city’s government. Today the key owner of this department store is the Bosco di Ciliegi group which is one of the major fashion brands resellers in Russia. This private organization owns more than 100 fashion boutiques including Kenzo, Emporio Armani, Iceberg, Paul Smith and many others. A large portion of these boutiques is located at the GUM Moscow department store.
