Barashka is a small chain that consists of 3 restaurants in Moscow. All of the 3 restaurants are managed by the Novikov Group. The restaurants serve traditional Azerbaijani cuisine in a modern European setting. This means that the various types of Kebabs, Shashlik and Qutabs are on the menu. The traditional pilaf with lamb and greens is quite delicious and will cost you 850 Rubles. The price of the average bill here is approximately 1500 Rubles per person which is not bad for Moscow.
My favorite Barashka restaurant is located in the Krasnaya Presnya area in the same building as Manon restaurant, Donna Margarita and Pilot night club (formerly known as Bazaar Bar). It just feels more cozy there and the quality of the food is somehow seems a little better. Maybe that’s because it’s the chain’s newest restaurant. It was opened in 2011.
The Barashka restaurant located on Novy Arbat street has a great advantage which is the parking lot right in front of it. The restaurant located in the Petrovka street area is the oldest one of the three venues. The location & food are good, but the parking can be tough in this area.
